"Dear Mom, Today you would have been turning 75 years old. I think about you at least once a day as I miss you very much. You were the most wonderful person, being unselfish and compassionate towards others and her family. You are fondly remembered and irreplaceable Mom. I love you always, your daughter - Deborah"

""Dear Mom, It has been 8 years since I have not been able to send my card and order flowers to be delivered to you on Mother's Day. Every Mother's Day goes by without you it is a very difficult time for me. I have great memories of the activities you would do which were so enjoyable, and being thrifty at the same time. Even making our or own fishing rods, which we didn't care whether we caught any fish, it was fun just the idea or possibility. I love & miss you Mom... more than words can describe. Remember you always, your daughter Deborah"

I miss you Mom! Lovingly remembered by your daughter - Deborah"

                                                                    MEMORIES OF MOTHER

When my Mom would take her children on a daytrip to go fishing, she would make a stop at the “old” Bar BX General Store in Cache Creek for fishing line and hooks. Then we would travel to a favorite spot along Highway 97 towards Clinton. Mom would fasten the line to the end of our homemade fishing pole made of a branch, of course as straight as we could find one. Then she would place bait, which were worms we had dug up from her flower bed at home. We were so excited about the prospect of “who” would catch the biggest fish! It wasn’t until years later I remembered, it would have been helpful to have a method such as a “reel”, to bring in that big fish. Obviously we weren’t worried about how we were to accomplish such a feat, as we were having too much fun being along for one of our Mother’s extraordinary excursions.

I know I was blessed to have a Mom who took pride in teaching me important values. One of them being, “It wasn’t important to have a lot of money, if you had an imagination you could still have fun.”
